School Uniform:
We
have liaised with parents, students and
staff in our endeavours to have a uniform
policy that is clear, consistent and easy to
monitor. Below is an extract from the
school planner for next academic year:
Key Stage 3 and
4 Dress Code

At NCBIS the following school uniform is
to be worn by all students:
-
school trousers, shorts or skirts*
(shorts/skirts should be knee length)
-
school polo shirt, long or short
sleeved* (any vest or t-shirt worn
underneath should be white)
-
school body warmer or fleece* (no other
jackets may be worn in school)
*
The above items must be school issue and
purchased from the school uniform shop. No
alternative items are permitted
-
plain black office / formal shoes (no
trainers or open-toe sandals)
-
plain black or white ankle socks
-
belts may be worn – black only
-
hats/caps - non-school caps may only be
worn outside during cold weather or in
the sun
-
scarves and gloves should not be worn
during the school day, including break
times.

House T-shirt for House events
(available for purchase from uniform
shop)
Jewellery:
Boys: no jewellery is permitted
Girls: 1 pair of small studs in the lobe of
the ear.
No
other jewellery or piercings are permitted
Hair: Should be kept neat and be a natural
colour.
Presentation: Students should come to school
looking smart. Make-up and nail varnish are
not allowed. Nails should be neat and clean.

Sixth Form students should be dressed in
clothing suitable for a professional
environment. All students should respect
the cultural standards and expectations of
the local community. Clothes need to look
clean, ironed and presentable. Normal
school sanctions will apply to Sixth Form
students that are inappropriately dressed.

All pupils with long hair must have it tied
back for all PE lessons. All jewellery must
be removed before the start of the lesson

advise all pupils to wear sunscreen when
outdoors.
