Instrumental Music Lessons

When a child learns by experience that music forges direct links between self and world, self-expression becomes more fluent; the music helps interpret "who I am."
Growing up Complete, the report of the National Commission on Music Education, 1990

The Music Department at NCBIS offers peripatetic music lessons.

Peripatetic instrumental teachers at NCBIS are professional musicians with a high level of experience, most of who work with the Cairo Opera House and only spend their duration at the school teaching an instrument. The instrumental teachers offer an easy and relaxed yet focused atmosphere for their students.

Lessons are paid for according to each school term. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes. These lessons are held once a week at different times during the day every week. This is to ensure that a student will never miss the same academic lesson during the day.

Most instrumental lessons are available to all students from year 2 upwards and to the Dutch students group 4 and upwards.

There is a great demand for lessons. Priority are given each term to GCSE music students and pupils already taking lessons from the previous term at the school.

The school currently offers the following instrumental lessons;

Violin Cello Vocals Trumpet
Trombone Flute Recorder Drums
Piano Classical Guitar Rock Guitar Clarinet
Saxophone
