The Board of Directors

Organised in accordance with the regulations for non-governmental organisations, the Board of Directors is elected by the members of the Heliopolis Society for the Cultural and Social Care of English Speaking Foreigners - that is, the parents of students in the school who choose to join The Society. Elections for places on the Board normally take place each November during the Annual General Meeting. The Board members then elect their Chairman and other officers (Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary).

The Board meets at least every month with the Senior Management Group to formally review strategic and academic progress and discuss other issues that may arise.

Senior Management Group
The Senior Management Group (SMG) comprises the Principal, Head of Administration, the School Registrar and Heads of School. The SMG meets at least weekly to ensure coordination of all day-to-day and strategic management issues within the school. Additionally, the Heads of School regularly meet and coordinate the teaching activities within their own schools to ensure that the educational goals and objectives are being met and that the standards of teaching and learning across all phases are maintained and continuously improved.

Senior Management Teams
To support each Head of School there is a Senior Management Team that brings together the expertise of the staff to meet the various strategic, academic and administrative needs of all the curriculum areas, student groups and other interest groups within each school. This ensures good communications through and across - the school.
