Welcome to
the Dutch Stream
The Dutch Stream was
incorporated into NCBIS in September 1999 after the closure of
the Shell School. It allows NCBIS to provide a unique
educational facility for primary age children from the Dutch
speaking community in Cairo. The success of the Dutch stream
has been evidenced by the success of students who have either
moved up into the international Secondary School or returned
to the Netherlands to continue their secondary education at
home. In February 2005 the Dutch inspector graded the Dutch
Stream as “excellent”. A copy of the report can be found in
